Angel's Landing, Zion National Park, Utah.
A horseback party on the banks of the Virgin River stop to view Angel's Landing, a sharp-shorn pyramidal wedge of Pompeian red that projects far into the canyon and thrusts off a fluted pile named the Great Organ, which forces the little stream at its feet to make a wide semicircle.
